The home has a full time activity coordinator who along with the care staff strives to meet the recreational and occupational needs of each person. A family/social history of each service user is compiled shortly after admission.

We have a dedicated activity room for group activity but one to one activity is also available and this can take place in a person’s own bedroom or the lounge.

A wide range of arts and crafts, gentle exercises to music, manicures and aromatherapy treatments are some of the activities that are also available.

An organist entertains each week and there are weekly sessions of bingo, dominoes and film shows complemented by visits from outside entertainers on a regular basis. Seasonal fayres are also held and proves to be successful, providing extra opportunities for socialising with friends and family.

Coffee mornings are held on a regular basis. These create opportunities for all parties to comment on our service. People are encouraged to make suggestions and advise us of any entertainment or activities they would wish to be provided.

People’s religious and cultural needs can be catered for and ministers from a wide range of denominations regularly visit St Saviours.
