Activities

We provide activities seven days a week and our coordinators ensure that everyone has the opportunity to engage in meaningful daytime occupation.

The activity coordinators, along with the care staff, strive to meet the recreational and occupational needs of each person. A family/social history of each service user is compiled shortly after admission.

Group activities take place in one of our lounges or dining rooms and where possible, we will offer one to one activity.

A wide range of arts and crafts, gentle exercises to music and manicures are some of the activities that are also available.

There are weekly sessions of bingo, dominoes and film shows complemented by visits from outside entertainers on a regular basis. Seasonal fayres are also held and prove to be successful, providing extra opportunities for socialising with friends and family.

People are encouraged to make suggestions and advise us of any entertainment or activities they would wish to be provided.

In order to enhance service user’s physical and emotional well-being, activities are organised to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem and social interaction with other service users in the Home

People’s religious and cultural needs can be catered for.
